I gave this one year package to my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas last year. They have truly enjoyed it every single month. I get a text message or a phone call telling me they're having the dinner that night and how much they've enjoyed both the pastas and the sauces.
I won a 3 month subscription for the pasta dinner and a movie and received our first meal this month, January. We received fresh dried pumpkin basil fettuccine pasta, roasted garlic marinara pasta sauce, sun dried tomato herb bread mix (a nice unexpected suprise), kettle corn popcorn and the Redbox rental code. Everything was nicely packaged and arrived right on time. The pasta was excellent, cooked perfectly in under 5 minutes with a nice light pumpkin basil flavor. The sauce was the best roasted garlic sauce I've had, actually had lots of nice roasted garlic in it. The sun dried tomato bread mix (with included yeast packet) would have been better if I had any experience with fresh dough making (not the products fault). That was a nice suprise as I hadn't seen anywhere that it included any type of bread or bread mix. We did half of the sauce (nice sized jar!) with chicken & mushrooms and half with ground beef &mushrooms. It fed 4 adults, three of them hungry men, very nicely. We were all stuffed! The kettle corn popcorn was delicious, sweet, salty and fresh. Popped with no burnt or unpopped kernels. Topped it off with a great tear-jerker movie, Hachi. Yes, hubby and my two grown sons had to suffer through a chick flick lol. We were so happy with our first dinner & a movie pasta night and can't wait for next months delivery! High quality products and we all highly recommend this!
Our schedules are busy, our days are full and sometimes it feels like its, get up, go to work, come home, eat, go to bed, get up... Four days a year we have wine, pasta, wine, movie, wine, popcorn, wine... you get the idea. Dinner and a Movie Club works for us, very nice break of routine! Thanks
This was a great way to surprise my daughter in law with a monthly gift of food and fun. She really has enjoyed the pastas and sauces and has added her own twists. Then, after dinner she and my son would watch their Redbox movie of their choice(not mine) which is nice and enjoy some gourmet popcorn. They said the popcorn was quality and sooo tastey...they would have to fight for the last handful!!!
This used to come with a Blockbuster gift card for the movie rental but my last shipment came with a RedBox free rental code instead. So much better! Blockbusters are hard to find where I live but RedBox is everywhere. Good move.
